These Canon L-Series primes are the ultimate in medium telephoto, fixed focal length lenses. Suitable for full-frame sensor bodies these EF lenses also work with the C300 MKIII’s Dual Pixel Auto Focus.

When used on a Super35 sensor, which results in a 1.5x crop factor, their effective focal lengths become:

• Canon 50 mm f/1.2L = 75mm
• Canon 100mm f/2.8L = 150mm

The fast apertures, UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) glass, fluorite and aspherical elements produce stunningly sharp images and shallow depth of field with beautiful bokeh.

The Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro is one of Canon’s sharpest lenses, and at an effective 150mm on the C300 MKIII it also functions perfectly as a standard telephoto lens.

The minimum focus distance is just 29cm where 1x magnification is also achieved. When you want to get really close and tight on your subject this is the lens you will need. (e.g. extreme close up of an eye) With the added bonus of up to 4 stops of image stabilisation, this is an extremely versatile prime video lens.
